The few months I spent with Bullish over the summer provided me some of the greatest opportunities in my design career so far. At the one part design agency-one part investment firm, I took on a variety of roles ranging from product designer and user researcher to brand strategist and mechanical-maker for physical projects. It was a blast. One of my favorite projects (and one that has been made public up to this point) is our product redesign with RADD Foods.

With this project, I worked directly with my boss and Bullish’s Creative Director, Jake Tieman, to design RADD’s new packaging to make it eye-catching on shelves and grab the attention of flavor-hunting foodies. The rebrand features a partnership with Frank’s RedHot and a ranch flavor.

About

RADD Foods is a small brand with big ambitions to bring super bold flavor to the sleepy non-dairy aisle. Based in Michigan, the scrappy team sought help to redesign RADD's packaging to get buyers excited about their sliced cheese product as they pushed further into retail.

Creating brand personality for RADD Foods

Focus

  1. Get the stakeholders (Bullish Directors and RADD) to agree on a visual direction for the rebrand

  2. Design and manufacture product packaging for 3 separate flavors of a RADD Food’s cheese.

  3. Make tech + design decisions that lay a solid foundation for future maintenance and growth
